MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — A married Christian musician and former worship minister who once performed at a rally for former President Donald Trump has been arrested on multiple child sexual abuse material (CSAM) charges, according to Montgomery County authorities. The suspect, identified as Jon Sheptock, was taken into custody on September 26 by detectives with the Montgomery County Constable’s Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Unit. Officials confirmed that Sheptock faces possession and production of child pornography charges following a detailed investigation into allegations of long-term misconduct.

According to investigators, the case began after a woman came forward with disturbing claims that dated back nearly a decade. The woman told authorities that Sheptock stole a photograph of her around nine years ago, when she was 17 years old. Afterward, he allegedly pressured her to send explicit photographs and later sent her a violent video, warning that he “did not want that to happen to her.” Court records further reveal that Sheptock showed the victim nude images of both adults and minors that were stored on his computer.
Detectives allege that the misconduct continued over several years, with the most recent incident occurring in October 2023, when Sheptock reportedly sent the victim a text message containing a nude image of young girls. The revelations prompted investigators to collect additional digital evidence and witness statements, which led to his arrest late last month. Law enforcement officials believe there may be more victims and are continuing to analyze seized electronic devices for further evidence.
Before his arrest, Sheptock was widely recognized as a Christian recording artist and motivational speaker. His now-deleted website biography stated that he was born without arms and with one leg shorter than the other, describing himself as a “thriving Christian recording artist and speaker.” Married for 26 years and the father of three daughters, Sheptock often shared his personal journey of overcoming physical challenges through faith and music. In January 2022, he gained broader attention after performing the national anthem at a Donald Trump rally, according to The Independent.
In a public statement, First Montgomery Baptist Church confirmed that Sheptock was immediately removed from all ministry duties following his arrest. Church officials stressed that he did not hold a position involving direct contact with minors and that there was no evidence suggesting church members or children were affected. The church added that it is fully cooperating with law enforcement and is offering support to those impacted by the case.
