Police say a white pickup truck struck three utility poles before flipping multiple times. One of the passengers, 23-year-old Dylan Millhouse of Etters, was ejected from the vehicle during the violent rollover. The York County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Millhouse was pronounced dead at the scene. It remains unclear whether he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Two other males in the vehicle sustained injuries and were transported to Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed. Authorities confirmed that a total of four men were inside the truck at the time of the accident, though one of them reportedly fled the scene on foot. Investigators are still working to determine who was driving at the time.

Fairview Township Police Chief said speed appears to have been a factor in the crash. The impact caused significant damage to multiple utility poles, knocking out power to about 20 nearby customers. First Energy Corporation reported that repairs are ongoing, with power restoration expected by 4 p.m. Friday. Valley Road was temporarily closed between Beinhower Road and Tassel Lane while crews cleared debris and investigators examined the scene.

Witnesses who live near the crash site said they were awakened by the loud noise of the collision and saw the wrecked truck shortly afterward. One neighbor reported seeing several of the young men from the vehicle walking around in shock, one of whom pleaded with bystanders not to call police before fleeing into the darkness. Emergency personnel quickly arrived and secured the area as utility and tow crews began their work.

In response to the outage and ongoing investigation, Old Trail Intermediate School announced that it would switch to remote learning for the day. The West Shore School District confirmed that classes would follow an adjusted virtual schedule. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash and are asking anyone with information to contact Fairview Township Police.
