FLETCHER, N.C. — A devastating crash in Fletcher has claimed the life of 17-year-old Brianna “Bri” Henn, a beloved high school senior from Henderson County. Authorities confirmed that the fatal accident occurred Monday morning, leaving the entire community mourning the loss of a young life filled with promise.
According to the Fletcher Police Department (FPD), officers responded to a head-on collision on Mills Gap Road just before 10:30 a.m. on October 14. The crash involved a small SUV and a dump truck traveling in opposite directions. Emergency responders from Fletcher Police, Henderson County EMS, and Fletcher Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene within minutes but were unable to save the teenage driver.
The victim, identified as Brianna Henn, was pronounced dead at the scene, police confirmed. Henn, affectionately known as “Bri,” was a senior at North Henderson High School, where she was known for her bright spirit and kind heart.
