PIKE COUNTY, Pa.— Authorities are investigating a deadly single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 65-year-old Bethel man late this week in Porter Township. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the incident occurred along Route 402, just north of the Bushkill area, in a wooded section known for sharp curves and limited visibility.
Emergency crews responded to the scene after receiving reports of a vehicle that had veered off the roadway and struck a tree. Upon arrival, troopers found the driver, identified as Joseph Bylina, still inside the severely damaged vehicle. First responders quickly worked to assist him and transported him to a nearby hospital. Despite their best efforts, officials later confirmed that Bylina succumbed to his injuries.
