GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities have identified the teenager who lost his life in a Monday afternoon shooting on Creektop Court. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victim as 17-year-old Juan Pablo Cuartas-Paez, whose death has officially been ruled a homicide.

According to officials, the shooting occurred at Cuartas-Paez’s home on Creektop Court, where he and another individual were both struck by gunfire. Emergency responders rushed the teen to a nearby hospital following the attack, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 3:53 p.m. Monday.
