Three Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on I-70 in Huber Heights Identified

HUBER HEIGHTS, OH — Authorities have identified the three people who lost their lives in a devastating wrong-way crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 70 in Huber Heights. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victims as 55-year-old Doniell Snow, 18-year-old Natalie Daly, and 18-year-old Nevin Vince. The multi-vehicle collision occurred shortly after 1:15 a.m. on October 5 and left several vehicles engulfed in flames.

According to investigators, the crash began when a Chevy Tahoe driven by Snow was traveling east in the westbound lanes of I-70 near the Brandt Pike exit. The SUV continued in the wrong direction before striking a Honda Accord and then colliding head-on with a Chevy Trax occupied by Daly and Vince. A Chevy Malibu was also involved in the wreck, though details about its occupants have not been released.

Emergency crews from Huber Heights Police, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and local fire departments arrived to find multiple vehicles severely damaged and on fire. Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames and reach the victims, but tragically, all three were pronounced dead at the scene. The westbound lanes of I-70 remained closed for several hours as investigators reconstructed the crash and cleared debris.

Authorities said Daly and Vince were both area residents and recent high school graduates who had been returning home when the collision occurred. Friends and family members have described them as kind, hardworking, and full of promise. Snow, the driver of the Tahoe, also died at the scene. Officials are still investigating how he entered the interstate going the wrong way.

Investigators are reviewing traffic camera footage, examining road conditions, and considering possible factors such as impairment, visibility, or mechanical failure. The Ohio State Highway Patrol called the wreck one of the most severe in recent memory along that stretch of I-70 due to the number of vehicles involved and the fire’s intensity.

As the community mourns, authorities are reminding drivers to stay alert, especially during nighttime travel, and to immediately report any vehicles driving the wrong way by calling 911. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials said additional findings will be released once the final crash report is completed.
